These are the best movies of 2006 in my opinion. The critics my have their opinion, but a lot of the time that does not match the audience. So here they are, the best movies of 2006:
V for Vendetta
After being a big Matrix fan, I was excited to see what the Wachowski brothers would do next. Although not quite the same caliber, V for Vendetta is a great movie with a great message and story. Even though V has a mask on the entire movie, you never get tired of looking at him, good mask choice.
Downton Abbey
Cars
In my opinion maybe the best of the Pixar's movies. I beyond doubt enjoyed this over any of the Toy Story movies. It's a hard warming story with great dialog along the way.
The Devil Wears Prada
My wife took me to this movie and I'll be honest, I didn't want to go. But Meryl Streep is so wicked and piquant (of course) with seemingly no effort. I beyond doubt enjoyed this one to my wife's surprise.
Little Miss Sunshine
I practically skipped this one but just kept hearing about it, so I opinion I great see what all the hoopla is about. A very funny, sad and touching movie. The family's quest to get Olive to the pageant is a true accomplishment given their very dysfunctional nature.
The Departed
Here's to Martin Scorsese for retention movies cool. How can you go wrong with Jack Nicholson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg? My favorite movie of 2007. I am a very upfront Scorsese fan which started with Goodfellas. A Great story about an undercover cop portraying a gangster, and an undercover gangster portraying a cop. I think this movie show the true stress that would be involved in each of these situations, instead of glorifying them like other movies.
