Adrift-Open Water 2-The Round Up communicate

Anyone who watched Open Water will know what to expect here. Except this time it's six people that jump off a yacht and forget to put the ladder down, so we're stranded with them for an hour and half while they try and make it back on-board.

Yet while Open Water was a real waste of your time and money, Adrfit is of course a step up. Billed as Open Water 2 pretty much in any place else apart from the Uk, you can see that the publishers have firmly nailed their colours to the mast (sorry, couldn't help it).

Downton Abbey

Yet comparisons with Open Water are largely unfair, as Adrift is a first-rate movie on every level. That being said, it's still not a great movie. As soon as you see "Based on a True Story" scroll over the screen, you know it's not going to end well for all involved. And sure enough, by the time the earnings role, the traditional 6 have been somewhat thinned out . The script suffers from the usual clangers, some of the acting is borderline laughable and the film ends on what can only be described as a confusing note.

As soon as you see "based on a true story" flash over the screen, you know you could be in for some trouble! And so it is with Open Water 2: Adrift. If this truly is based on a true story, you are left feeling that these people we're of course too thick to live in the first place and it's of course no great loss if they don't make it safely back to shore.

If this thing sounds up your street, then good on you, for films of it's type, it's best than most but then, that's not saying much.
