San Antonio on New Years Eve

Celebrate New Years Eve in San Antonio Texas. There is live free entertainment along with great food, drinks and music. There are activities for children and adults alike on South Alamo road between store and Durango from 6Pm until 12:30Am. There is something for everybody scheduled simultaneously ending with a huge fireworks extravaganza showcasing the Tower of Americas happening at midnight.

There is a extra childrens area in La Villita which is a historical arts community in the heart of downtown. La Villita has artisans, craftsmen, quaint boutiques, food and extra boutiques specializing in all kinds of childrens gifts and apparel. New Years Eve LaVillita will come alive and be open for children with games, carnival rides and more.

Downton Abbey

For adults there will be 4 stages of live music and entertainment along with over 50 booths for food and drink. This huge fiesta is the largest free venue for New Years Eve in the state of Texas and attracts over 250,000 visitors each year.

Some of the activities are as follows:

Bud Light Main Stage (at the entrance of Hemis Fair) Reccluse performing at 6L3oPm, followed by Evolution at 9:00Pm and terminal with Roland J and the All Gringo Stars at 9:45Pm.

Rio San Antonio Cruises located at store and Alamo will highlight pop and rock music and entertainment featuring the Rhythm Kings and 6:30Om followed by Philo Beddoe at 9:30Pm.

On the International Stage located at Maverick Plaza featured will be Xtremo at 6:30Pm followed at 9:30Pm by Artie V y Grupo Slave

For families there is the Heb family Stage located at Arneson River Theatre and will highlight ongoing performances by Miss San Antonio 2010, Krystal Diaz; Danza Vida, Flamenco, Folklorico;2008 Ncaa Texas Dance Champion Breanne Ashley; Innercity with Style Performing Group, Directed by Linda Aguila and finally the Eternal Flame Youth Band.

San Antonio's Riverwalk is a beautiful area in which to spend New Years Eve and ring in 2010. There are bountiful lights, a winding river bordered by magnificent spanish architecture and thousands of people to share a once in a lifetime moment.
