Episode 4, Series 2 - Mary & Matthew, Downton Abbey

Episode 4, Series 2 - Mary & Matthew, Downton Abbey Tube. Duration : 2.62 Mins.

A music video for Mary and Matthew from Downton Abbey, based around series 2, episode 4. Sadly there weren't nearly enough Mary/Matthew moments this episode (althought THAT scene sure made up for it!), so I hope you still enjoy this attempt. The music is once again from the Land Girls soundtrack because I just love that music and because it fits so well with Mary and Matthew so far this series. Fingers crossed I get to make a happier video for them in the future.

Downton Abbey - Another World

Downton Abbey - Another World Tube. Duration : 2.50 Mins.

The excellent ITV period drama "Downton Abbey" is back and, like last year, I'm impatiently awaiting each new episode! I'm so in love with the show and all the characters :) **The video contains series 2 footage and audio, so please don't watch if you want to avoid spoilers** I used the score from another period film with Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson. You'll find all music details at the end of the video. I really love this score, especially toward the end when the music rises; it's a very moving piece of music :) Thank you very much for watching :)

Why Do I Need Adobe Reader On My Computer?

Well, you don't need it, but you might want it in order to view many of the important files that you might find on the Web. Files that you will find in Adobe's Pdf format are tasteless documents like Irs forms, stock manuals, reports, company information, maps, e-books (electronic books) - which includes all formats like novels, plays, poetry, magazines and historic documents - and many other documents.

Let's take an example: (sorry reader's face of the Usa, you may not totally 'get' this reference!) It's April and U. S. Taxes are due. You start your paperwork and realize that you did something different last year and need someone else form that's not in your quarterly packet.

Downton Abbey

Ok ... What's the procedure for this ... You get in the car, drive to the local post office, park the car, go in and rummage nearby the piles of forms that are there and it isn't there. Oh well, get back in the car and drive to the uptown federal buildings and again find a parking place ... Find the Irs office ... Look straight through the stacks of forms to find the right one ... Ultimately find it and trek, to make your way back to the car ... Fight the uptown traffic back home and now you are too tired to work on your taxes!

Whew!! That sounds like a lot of work! Well, I can tell you for confident that there is an easier way to get that form! Here's the new procedure:

Connect to the internet (however you connect); open up a browser (where you view web pages: like Internet Explorer, Netscape, or Aol's browser); go to the address bar (box) near the top of the window; type in [http://www.irs.gov;] press the Enter key or click on the 'Go' button to get you to the site.

Now, over to the left you'll see a heading labeled "Most Requested Forms and Publications" and below it you'll see a list of the most tasteless forms that habitancy request. If your form is not listed, then plainly click on the last link in that section labeled "More Forms and Publications" which will bring you to a different page.

Now, this is the most difficult part of the whole procedure ... Remember now, this is a government web site, it's not supposed to be easy! On the page there are about '500' links - well, it seems like that many! Anyway, at this point - don't give up now! - look at your situation - do you know the name and or estimate of the form that you need? If you do, then plainly click on the very first link under the heading: "Download Forms and Publications by:" which will get you to someone else page with the listing of all the forms available on the site. It looks very confusing but don't give up yet!

If you look at the first column to the left of the list it looks like there's no rhyme or infer to it (oh, that's right, it doesn't have to! It's the Irs after all!) - just kind of ignore that column and look at the next column of information. This column will comprise the more well-known form name and estimate and it is in order! You will see the more tasteless forms like Form 1040 and 1040A and when you do, you will observation that the ones that are before it are forms in the 900 range of numbers, so you can see that all you need to do is find the estimate for the form you need and then choose it.

You choose it by clicking on the line that the form is on and then go down a bit on the page and click on the button that says "Review prime Files". You will have a link on a new page for that particular form that you selected. Make sure that it is the precise form estimate and then go ahead and click on that link. If it isn't correct, click on the back button and try again.

By clicking on that link, you are choosing a Pdf formatted document - by the way Pdf stands for transported Document Format and is also the prolongation for each document. So if you see a file in your folders on your computer that looks like this: filename.pdf - that file can only be viewed by the Adobe Reader software.

Getting back to the Irs website, when you click on that link, you don't have to do anyone else other than to watch it come up in your Adobe Reader - that is, you will if you have it installed on your computer. Need to get it? plainly go to www.adobe.com where you will find a link to download the software for free!

Now, so you can find it and use it again, make sure that you click on the "Save a Copy" button in the left corner to save that form that you searched so hard for! Also, don't forget to go back to the list after you save the form to get any instructions that go with the form. Bring it into your Adobe Reader software the same way and you're ready to work on your taxes!

Now, even though it took a while to write out these instructions on how to get a form from the web site, it is in effect a very quick procedure!

So, why do habitancy and companies use Pdf documents so extensively?

Pdf files are enormously beloved because of 2 main features: they reserve the primary formatting for the document and they are "portable".

Formatting is the compose - the look and 'feel' of the document. in effect represented by forms to fill out that need to look and print the same for each person, like the tax forms, it's meant to be a appropriate 'view' no matter what 'platform' it's viewed on - Windows computers, Macintosh computers, Unix computers or any transported gadget like a cell phone. Consistency is the key here and that is why habitancy choose to create and forward documents in Pdf format.

Walking and Rambling in Northern Cyprus

With its unspoiled natural attractiveness and myriad historical sites, Northern Cyprus sounds like an perfect place for walking, hiking and rambling. For once, the reality is as good as the anticipation and the country as a matter of fact doesn't disappoint! No matter what your level of capability or fitness, north Cyprus has fullness to offer those who prefer feet to wheels.

There are many gorgeous walks to take; from old walled cities through deserted mountain tracks and overwhelming castles to coastal strolls along deserted beaches. Although walking in the summer months can be wonderful, for the more dedicated ramblers, the spring, autumn and winter seasons hold the most promise. In particular, the months of March, April and May show the countryside at its most stunning. Meadows crammed with wild flowers are in any place and the landscape is lush and green. Northern Cyprus is home to a amount of species of wild orchids, some exceptionally rare, and many in surprising abundance. 'Casey's Larkspur' is one of the world's rarest and is found only at one point on the island. There are also birds aplenty and, possibly more widely known, a few beaches on the western coast of the island are the nesting grounds for species of marine turtles.

Downton Abbey

Walks in north Cyprus come in all varieties, but some places are notable. The area around the aged community of Bellapais is criss-crossed with Crusader paths and with only some basic study you can find yourself following in the footsteps of Richard the Lionheart. Speculation additional afield and there are some breath-taking vistas ready to the more sure-footed. The walk to Buffavento Castle from its car park on the main road is one of the tougher walks, due to the steep hike to get up the last few thousand feet to the castle right at the end! But this is one of the best walks there is for those who want good terrain, indescribable views, the occasion to picnic along the way and genuine peace and quiet. Driving up the track is possible, but walking means not missing the flora and fauna and being able to pinpoint the massive cave entrances high up above in the mountains.

North Cyprus is home to a variety of aged archaeological sites and most offer superb opportunities for walks of all lengths. As well as Buffavento, the areas around St Hilarion Castle, Vouni Palace and Bellapais Abbey are rich in pathways and all offer unbelievable vistas. The Karpas peninsula - surface the entire north-eastern tip of the island - is an area of excellent beauty. Dotted with tiny villages, untouched beaches and vast expanses of land, a minute planning is essential, as the area is too large to Speculation into haphazardly. However, driving, parking up and just walking in the region will invariably lead you to some new and surprising places.

If you prefer to keep to more built-up areas, the towns of Kyrenia, Famagusta and Nicosia offer many delightful routes. In single the old, walled part of Famagusta is liberally sprinkled with historical treasures, as well as many enticing shops, coffee houses and places to eat! Kyrenia and Nicosia offer much for the shopper, but also house some notable structure and other places of interest.

Walking in Northern Cyprus as a matter of fact is a treat and if you prefer to 'go it alone' you can naturally arm yourself with a half decent map and take off. The island has a sizeable ex-pat society and as a result, fullness of small leaflets, booklets and books are ready on the subjects of rambling and walking. There are also numerous publications detailing the fauna and flora of the region. A amount of local clubs and groups offer walking tours and some of these are well worth considering. Some are extensive, and designed generally to motion to the most serious, but there are also short, guided tours favorable for anyone. A quest of the internet will turn up fullness of options and if you have already booked a holiday in Northern Cyprus, you should contact your hotel. Staff are ordinarily very knowledgeable and will be able to offer fullness of advice and contacts.

The countryside is mostly untouched and although paths are often apparent, they are also often non-existent. If you plan on walking in the mountains and hillsides, some sort of guide book is more than just useful, as it can be very easy to find yourself going round in circles. It goes without saying that sensible walking wear is essential, but it is also worth noting that many areas are truly all but deserted. You are unlikely to come over places with refreshment on offer, so taking adequate fresh drinking water with you is a must. Although movable telephone coverage is widespread, parts of the mountains - and particularly the Karpas peninsula - are not fully served, so do not assume you can call for advice if you get lost!

All in all, Northern Cyprus remains one of the least known Mediterranean destinations for walkers and hikers, but it is also one of the best. Get to see it now, before everybody else discovers it!

Exploring London - 5 Out-of-the-Ordinary Things to Do

I have been to London, England, a few times now and every time I find something new to explore. The traveler guides and brochures mostly push the sights of London like Buckingham Palace, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Windsor Castle, and Hampton Court Palace. Especially whenever I was traveling on a budget, I found that even though these places were phenomenal and should no doubt be visited, they were overrun with tourists and some of them required a pretty hefty entrance fee.

Exploring on my own, I found some intelligent places. Have a look at what I have discovered and I wish you happy traveling in London!

Downton Abbey

1. Take a Jack the Ripper Tour

If you are up for some spine-chilling entertainment, book a Jack the Ripper walking tour on the Internet before you visit London. There are a range of companies that offer this type of tour and the prices were very comparable. I paid somewhere colse to Canadian Dollars, which seems to be standard. You can retain your spot online and print out your marker at home. The tour ordinarily starts off at East Aldgate underground hub and then continues on the path of Jack the Ripper. You will be walking into the night, so make sure you bring enough footwear and warm clothes, depending on the weather. You might also want to be prepared for rain and don't forget that camera. The tour guides are very knowledgeable about London history and the tour is intelligent and informative. This is one way you will get to see a whole range of London's back alleys, noisy pubs, and creepy side streets without getting lost in the dark.

2. Camden Town

Personally, I like buying the London Travelcard when I am in London. It is a great way to save some money if you will be using the public converyance ideas a lot. You can choose which zones you want to contain and off you go traveling as much as you like within your zones for the amount of days you bought the card for. It's convenient and cheaper than buying singular tickets if you are in London for a few days.

At any rate, you can hop on the Northern line heading north and get off at Camden Town. If you exit the underground hub coming out on Camden High Street, take a right toward the canal. You will find the whole street lined with microscopic shops and store stalls. If you continue down Camden High Street, you will at last cross the canal and then find more store stalls at Camden Lock store and the Stables. There are hundreds of microscopic shops and stalls everywhere, so just speculation right in and have a look around. You are not obligated to buy anything, but you are sure to find anything you can think of there. It is a great way to spend some time if it is raining, as some of the store area is covered, or if you simply want to perambulate colse to and shop. There is food available at dissimilar places as well, so if you get hungry from all the wandering around, you have your selection of many dissimilar types of food.

3. Take a Subway Tour

Now this might sound a microscopic strange, but it is great fun. If your legs are tired from all the walking around, pick a line and let yourself be taken to some of the underground stations. There are books available about the history of the London underground stations and it is very neat to get out and eye the history of some of them. Buy a subway history book before heading to London and then eye the stations. Aldgate hub (served by Metropolitan and Circle Lines) is very cool to look at and if you liked Atonement, you can also check out Balham hub (on the Northern Line heading south). A friend of mine also let me know that there are tours and visits available for some of the abandoned stations in London, but unfortunately I do not have any more detailed facts about that yet.

4. Eat at Pizza Express

Not just any Pizza Express though. The one I like best is situated right beside Shakespeare's Globe Theatre. The fancy you should go there is first of all that they have phenomenal Italian food and second of all, it comes at a cheap price. So if you would like to treat yourself to some appetizers, a great meal, and dessert, you can affordably do it at the Pizza Express. You can get there by taking the tube to Mansion House (Circle and District Lines) and then following the signs to the Millennium Bridge. Walk over the Millennium Foot Bridge and should be able to see the Globe already. Head toward the Globe, following along the Thames, and when you reach the Globe, Pizza Express will be in the construction over the street from the Globe's main entrance. Pick a table upstairs and enjoy a meal overlooking the Thames.

5. Concert and supper at St. Martin-in-the Fields

This one is less for the cost than it is for the experience. St. Martin-in-the-Fields (although not in fields any longer) is a church in Trafalgar quadrilateral and it's undoubtedly worth a visit whether you consequent a unavoidable religious reliance or not. The church crypt has been converted into a café, where you can have breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It offers an amazing, intimate atmosphere and the food is great.

If you have time and like music, you can also take in one of the performances. The acoustics in the church are imaginable and there are a wide range of concerts being offered. You can buy tickets online before you even travel to London if you like, to ensure you get a good seat. Make sure that if you have supper before a carrying out you come early because it fills up quickly.

To get there, take the tube to Charing Cross (Northern and Bakerloo Lines) and start heading for the National Gallery. You will find signs pointing you in the right direction. For detailed directions, you can also check their website.

Whitby Yorkshire, the Gem of the North Yorkshire Coast

The old seaport of Whitby Yorkshire is situated on the North East Coast and is maybe one of the most gorgeous and picturesque natural harbours of North Yorkshire.

It is essentially a town of two parts divided by the River Esk. Its natural geographic situation has shaped both its historical and market past, and continues to work on its culture to the present day.

Downton Abbey

The East Side of Whitby Yorkshire is the oldest of the two sides. The Abbey built from 656 Ad was the founding point for the town and on the headland near the Abbey there are indications of an earlier Roman lighthouse and small settlement., verily the early Saxon name for Whitby was 'Streonshal' meaning (Lighthouse Bay). Prominent down the 199 steps from the Abbey to Church road (formerly Kirkgate Ad 1318) there are cobbled streets and many cottages and houses dating from the 1600's. Dwellings have even been documented at the foot of the 199 steps as early as 1370!

The market Place, dating back to 1640, is a spirited place with markets held on a Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday, with a Farmer's market on a Thursday (please check days as there is a discrepancy throughout the year). The old cobbled streets stretch from the lowest of the Abbey Steps along Church Street, along Sandgate and to the north along Henrietta Street.

Henrietta road is only a short road in relation to its former glory in 1787 when upward of 1,000 residents lived there. A landslip in 1787, and a succession of supplementary landslips have led to its present length. At the northern end of the road is Fortunes Kipper House, dating from 1872, founded by William Fortune. The kippers are smoked over oak and beech fires to give their distinctive taste and colour. Many of the cottages are now holiday lets but a number of local Whitby people are still resident. A path from the end of this road leads to the East Pier by means of a new concrete walkway.

Around the market Place there are a number of shops and cafes. The Shambles, the old Burberrys Factory, is a social house with an indoor market underneath which sells a blend of clothing and arts and crafts. Here too are the social conveniences. Alongside the Shambles is the access to the Whitby Friendship Amateur Rowing Club. The Fishermans Amateur Rowing Club can be accessed here also at low tide.

Leading off the market Place is Sandgate (so called because it leads to and borders on the east sands), a bustling narrow road with tourist shops, fresh seafood shop, old English sweet shop, cafe, bakery and photographers. Whitby jet, made fashionable by Queen Victoria, who wore it in mourning of her beloved Prince Albert (died 1861) has been carved since the bronze age. It is formed by fossilized monkey puzzle trees. An exhibition of the Victorian carved jet can be found in the museum in Pannett Park. The Whitby Jet patrimony centre has a workshop which was found sealed in an old house in Whitby and removed and rehoused.

Church road has an spectacular, number of alleyways and yards which, in the past, enabled smuggling gangs and escape routes from the customs men and press gangs in times gone by. Look at the strange names!! Nowadays these yards house a number of shops, restaurants and craftware places. The old Wesley Hall is now home to a wool and craft shop.

Steeped in history, this area of Whitby Yorkshire is very beloved with tourists and hence the number of cafes, restaurants and gift shops. There are also a number of social houses

Grape Lane Prominent off Bridge road is maybe one of the most aged streets. In 1595 there were houses on both sides of the narrow road and it existed even before the dissolution of the Abbey. Along here is the Captain Cook museum, cafes, jewellery shops, bookshops, antiques and a children's clothing shop.

Whitby West Cliff top is dominated by Hotels, guest houses, holiday chamber and tourist attractions. Bram Stoker stayed at a guest house in Royal Crescent in the late 1890's, and drew his inspiration for Dracula from Whitby Yorkshire and the Abbey. verily in the book of Dracula, he came ashore in the form of a black dog shipwrecked off the coast of Whitby Yorkshire. There is a Dracula society and a large people of Goths who trip to Whitby for a few days each April and November, for Whitby Goth Weekends. They dress in period costume as they stroll the town and it seems almost that Whitby is back in the 'olden days'.

The Royal Hotel was built at the top of the Khyber Pass and has panoramic views over the North Sea, the piers, the East Cliff and Abbey and westwards along to Sandsend. Opposite the Royal, is the renowned Whale Bone Arch, which was originally erected in 1853 as at that time Whitby Yorkshire was an Prominent Whaling town. The present bones are from Alaska and supplanted the former in 2003. To the left of the Whale Bone Arch is the bronze statue of Captain James Cook standing over 6 feet. In front of the Royal Hotel and facing north are the sunken gardens sheltered somewhat by the winds off the North Sea. It is a lovely place to sit and relax.

There is an outdoor paddling pool with social conveniences close by, a new skateboarding area, Whitby Wizard (a hands-on science centre for children), bumper boats, trampolines, pitch and putt, crazy golf and a tourist shop selling buckets and spades, ice-cream etc. The large west cliff car park is near the Whitby free time Centre. The centre has a swimming pool, tennis courts, a gymnasium and badminton court.

The Spa Pavilion is a beloved venue for exhibitions, dances, pantomimes, amateur dramatics, seaside collection shows etc. It has a licensed bar, cafe and car park. There is the older Victorian construction where most of the entertainment shows are held, the Northern Lights Suite, the Undercroft and the Crystal Lounge cafe where the spectacular sea and cliff views can be viewed from floor to ceiling glass windows. During the summer months there are extra children's events together with mini discos and magic shows.

.During the early summer months of May and June when the sun sets it appears to set in the sea, a most spectacular site. In reality it sets behind the land near Sunderland/Newcastle.

Winding steep paths take you down to the lovely sandy beach with its brightly coloured painted beach huts. There are two beaches, one each side of the River Esk. Tate Hill beach is on the east side in the middle of Tate Hill pier and the larger East Pier. It is a small sheltered, soft sandy beach that both visitors and residents can enjoy throughout the year be it whether picnics, barbecues, or bathing and beach activities. Dogs are allowed on this beach all year round.

The larger West Cliff beach has almost 2 miles of sand and stretches from the pier, past the colourful beachhuts and along to Upgang. In the summer months there are lifeguards in attendance. Deckchairs and windbreaks are available to hire from the slipway near the west pier. It is a lovely stretch of beach where families can play, paddle, bathe, swim, get shells, play ballgames, build sandcastles and fly kites, just to mention a few activities. Donkey rides are a favourite with the children. Dogs are restricted from the 1st May to the 30th September. When using the beaches it is wise to take observation of the tide tables especially when walking along to Sandsend as the tides reach the cliffs and there is a danger of being cut off. The beach can also be accessed from the West cliff down long zigzag paths, or, in the season, there is a cliff lift, first opened in 1931, which is available from the end of April to the end of September.

For the discerning visitor there are plenty of activities to occupy both adults and children alike. A sedate walk along the harbour and the quaint cobbled streets or a strenuous hike up the Abbey steps to join the Cleveland National Trail. How about something even more energetic?, a full or part day fishing trip, mountain bike trailing, swimming, tennis or golf? For those wishing for a more diplomatic source of entertainment, there is the historical side of Whitby, the Abbey and St. Mary's Church, the Captain Cook museum followed by a trip to the Pannett Park Museum to learn even more about this renowned explorer.

There are a number of delight craft ready to take visitors for a trip out to sea together with a replica of Captain Cook's ship The Endeavour, an old Lifeboat, a jet speedboat and a number of larger craft with facilities for drinking and dining. Any spare change? Then try the amusement arcades and bingo, down along the pier, maybe a visit to a fortune teller!

Whatever the choice, Whitby Yorkshire can offer a wide collection of activities or maybe tranquility. The choice is yours.

5 Great Places to travel to in Europe

Everyone that has traveled extensively to places in Europe forms opinions of the cities that come to be their favorites, and come to be places that have a special meaning for them. The personality of a city goes much deeper than traveler destinations. They go into the identity of a city that makes it unique, and that uniqueness is not found just in those places that make it noted but on the streets and venues where the locals inhabit.

London: A great walking city, much of London can be seen by keeping in close nearnessy to the Thames. Home to four World patrimony Sites, London's charm is its prominent historical sites, such as The Tower of London, whose history goes back almost 1000 years, to upriver to Big Ben, Westminster Abbey (over 1000 years in history), and Buckingham Palace in the City of Westminster. Because the city road patterns have not changed much in centuries, there is quite a haphazard way they are laid out. But that is part of the charm in walking this city, and the allinclusive secret Tube law is maybe the best mass transit law in any city in Europe, providing you a break if you can walk no further. The second great aspect of London production it one of the great places to voyage is its large theater district, one of the largest of any city in the world.

Downton Abbey

Paris: This city obviously has many charms, but to me the many asset which makes this one of the best places to visit in Europe is the architecture, thus production this the best walking city, even topping London. Keep close to the Seine, then at the Eiffel Tower walk in the direction of the main road of Paris and the Arch of Triumph, and you will survey some of the many architecture anywhere.

Vienna: One of the great places to visit for the music is Vienna. You can experience much of this great city by walking, from the area around St. Stephan's Cathedral to the old palace area. There are many concert venues to be found, plus manifold great museums production Vienna a great place to voyage for its culture.

Amsterdam: Similar to Venice, Amsterdam's charm is in its canals. The city is virtually a web of canals, and there is a boat of every size or shape, and for any opportunity you may have. The downtown area is a place of great Dutch charm, but the waterways are unmistakably what make this one of the great places to travel. Also, as with all large European cities, a great amount of culture can be found in the form of museums of the great Amsterdam artists, among them Van Gogh and Rembrandt.

Barcelona: This city with the small town feel but the progressive attitude is unmistakably a secret gem when seeing for the best places to visit in Europe. Situated on the Mediterranean Sea in hilly terrain that gives it character, this second city in Spain gives the attitude that it can provide whatever that the great cities of Europe can provide, but still gives off the feel of a smaller metro area. For food, you unmistakably must experience the Tapas Restaurants.

This is obviously just a small sample of the great places to voyage in Europe, but every one of these places offers a rather unique trait that make it special from other places. If you are contemplating a trip to Europe soon, we hope you will try to take in one or more of these qualified places.

institution 3D Computer Graphics Innovators - A Short History Of Pixar

The firm Pixar has changed the way we view animation by using institution 3D computer graphics in ways that we've never seen before. Visual images that could only be imagined just decades ago are now used everywhere, from television commercials to feature-length films. This firm has gone from being a research institution only known in the Cg world to a name known everywhere.

The Birth Of Pixar

Downton Abbey

Pixar started out as Lucasfilm's animation group in 1979. It was called Graphics Group. George Lucas supposedly started this group to handle the institution 3D tasks created by the film "Star Wars." Although not the first film to use institution 3D Cg, it was "Star Wars" that first brought it to the public's attention and many films using the technology followed.

During the 1980's, it became known as a pioneering research town in the Cg world, but it was unknown surface of this specialized community. It worked on tantalizing sequences of Lucasfilm's feature-lengths and also spent time conducting research and experimentation, the results of which would finally come to be the Cg we know today.

In 1986, it was bought by Steve Jobs and christened "Pixar." The next year it produced its first tantalizing short, "Red's Dream." Although it looks primitive by today's standards, this short was nominated for an Academy Award, and won other awards in the computer animation world.

The Feature-Length tantalizing Film That Changed Everything

One film took Pixar from a research town only known in the Cg society to a household name. This film was 1995's "Toy Story." "Toy Story" was the first feature-length film created completely with institution 3D computer graphics. It showed the world images that had never been seen before.

"Toy Story" was originally planned as a 30-minute Christmas special for television. Disney, which was licensed to handle Pixar's marketing and distribution, saw the film and realized its potential. Executives at Disney did the math and comprehend it would be a huge hit. They recommend to Pixar that it yield "Toy Story" as a full length, and they were happy to oblige. Disney was right; it was a box office smash.

Following "Toy Story," Pixar produced 10 more feature-length films completely made with institution 3D computer graphics. They've all been huge hits that are among the highest grossing films in history. "Toy Story 3" is the highest grossing tantalizing highlight film of all time. Each of these films was an innovation over the previous one. It's easy to see how Pixar is tantalizing the boundaries of Cg to see what else can be done with the medium.

All of these films were distributed and marketed by Disney. In 2004, following disagreements over the sequel and story possession of "Toy Story 2," Pixar and Disney had a falling out. This led to the 2006 purchase of Pixar by Disney. Part of the deal was that Pixar would be allowed faultless creative operate over its productions, a rare privilege for citizen who work with Disney.

2010 saw the occasion of a gigantic Pixar studio on downtown Vancouver. Experimentation and production continues, as Pixar develops new ways to use institution 3D computer graphics to originate new Visual effects the world has never seen before.

Rheims, France - Where the Kings Were Anointed

Rheims, sometimes spelled Reims, is the largest city in the northeastern Champagne region of France. With a 2008 population of 188,000, Rheims is known as the place where Kings of France were anointed, the most famed of those being Charles Vii in the company of Joan of Arc.

The magnificent 13th century Cathedral of Notre Dame is specifically where these coronations took place, and after the Cathedral was damaged by German shellfire in 1914, it was painstakingly and successfully restored. Someone else equally recognized buildings in Rheims is the Palace of Tau, built between 1498 and 1509, which served as the residence of the Kings of France while the opening of their coronations. The palace was the residence of the Archbishop dating back to the 13th century. 17th-century "improvements" have given it more of a Baroque appearance. It now functions as a museum featuring coronation relics, statues and tapestries.

Downton Abbey

An easy one mile walk from the Cathedral is the St. Remi Basilica and its adjacent previous Abbey of St. Remi. The St. Remi Basilica was mostly completed in the 11th century, with additions made in subsequent centuries. The adjacent Abbey, like the Palace of Tau, is presently a museum, although the adjacent Basilica is still a place of worship.

While in Rheims, you should of policy tour some of the Grand Marque Champagne houses. Many tours contain trips through the cellars and tunnels made by the Romans. Someone else arresting site in Rheims is the old covered market on Rue du Temple in the city center, where you can get fresh furnish and just about anything else. Then be sure to check out the medieval Hotel le Verguer, a previous townhouse that is now furnished undoubtedly as it would have looked in its heyday from the 13th through the 16th centuries.

Also be sure to check out the Place Royale, the main quadrilateral of Rheims. Also visit the Church of St. Jacques, which dates from the 13th century and is now interestingly adequate the town of a arresting shopping area.

The University of Nottingham's main rival in the city is the Nottingham Trent University (named for the Trent River which flows through the centre of town). It began as Trent Polytechnic, and later Nottingham Polytechnic, but became a full-fledged university in 1992, and now teaches over 25,000 students every year, focusing on a variety of beneficial and high end trades.

The "LeftLion" inexpressive magazine and website contribute a indispensable guide to music and communal events for students and young people. The society is named after the leftmost of the pair of large stone lions which decorate the steps of the Council House in Old market quadrilateral -- rumour has it the left-hand lion is named "Brian", while the other is "Ryan". The quadrilateral has also been a gathering place for trainee events and celebrations, such as the winning of the European Cup and the F.A. Cup by local football team Nottingham Forest.

A Visit to Bardstown Ky - Bourbon Capital of the World - 5 Things You Must Do

On my recent all-too-brief trip to Bourbon Country and Bardstown, Ky, I had time to do a few things that I wanted but I saw so much more that I would love to experience. Luckily for me I live only about 40 miles away so I can go back and do these later. If you are ever lucky sufficient to find yourself in Bardstown, here are five activities or attractions that you should reconsider doing.

1. Visit a Distillery or Two. Okay, this is honestly the only real "must-do" in bourbon country. I only had the time to visit Heaven Hill, the closest distillery to downtown, but there are dozens more distilleries within minutes of Bardstown along with the world notable Jim Beam and Maker's Mark Distilleries. Learn how bourbon is made, the history of bourbon and the surrounding area and sample the goods at the end. What's not to love.

Downton Abbey

2. Visit The Old Talbott Tavern. I had lunch at this historic inn and tavern that sits smack on the courthouse Square. It now operates as a restaurant, hotel and bed & breakfast. It has a very colorful past. Here is a clip from their website:

The old stone reminder of Bardstown's beginnings still welcomes visitors to the bustling downtown area. Since the late 1700s, the Old Talbott Tavern on Court quadrate has provided shelter, food and drink to Kentucky travelers.

Talbott Tavern is said to be the oldest western stagecoach stop in America as the westward expansion brought explorers from the east into Kentucky.

According to legend, figures straight from the history books sought lodging here during their travels; as a young boy Abraham Lincoln and his house stayed here, Gen. George Rogers Clark, Daniel Boone, and exiled French King Louis Phillipe and his entourage stayed here, even painting murals on the upstairs walls. There are noticeable bullet holes in the now faded paintings and Jesse James is said to be responsible for them.

Riiiiight. Hey, it's possible. Jesse James mom lived in my hometown of Brandenburg and I have slept in her bedroom. She wasn't there at the time. ;) But that's a story for other time.

Anyway, if you go to the Old Talbott Tavern, go for the history because the food is just average. Nothing wrong with it but it would undoubtedly not make it onto my Roadfood Blog of places to eat on the road.

Oh, one more thing -- it's said to be haunted. Maybe it's Jesse.

2. Walk the courthouse quadrate and downtown Area. Bardstown is proud of its history and it have presume to be. It is Kentucky's second oldest city and has one of the largest collections of late 18th and early 19th century structure in the Southern United States. There is even a recreation of a frontier village right on the courthouse Square. I do love reading those slight history plaques they put on old buildings.

Across from the Old Talbott Tavern there is a drugstore that still has an authentic lunch counter. If the noon crowd is any indication this would have been a much better choice for lunch though I would have probably had to wait until 3 or 4 pm to get a seat. Next time.

4. Kentucky Railway Museum. See a wealth of old engines and cars from a time when trains ruled the west at Kentucky's official railway museum. Take a ride straight through the scenic Rolling Fork River Valley on the evening meal train.

5. Abbey of Gethsemani. The center offers displays and a video presentation about monastery life as well as a gift shop with Gethsemani Farms products. The Abbey, founded in 1848 by the Order of Trappist Cistercians, is home today to Trappist monks who open doors to spiritual seekers from all over the world. Pick up some monk-made crafts while you are there along with their world notable cheese.

I wonder if they make beds. Get it? Monkbeds. Ha!

There is so much to do in and nearby Bardstown that it may be best just to make a weekend of it. There are any B&B's listed on the official site that look good and I saw at least two right downtown on the square. Who wants to drive home after all that bourbon sampling anyway.

Downton Abbey- Victorian times edition (Parody)

Downton Abbey- Victorian times edition (Parody) Tube. Duration : 4.03 Mins.

Downton Abbey is a TV drama made by ITV. I do not own anything other than some of the voices used. Many Moons ago I said that when ever I watch this show I feel like a posh old lady with tea and sandwhiches, and that I wouldn't mind if that was the case. I was then challenged by someone, claiming that if I wanted to be posh, go right ahead. This is the result of that.

Things to Do in Lake Geneva Wisconsin

Anyone who has ever been to Lake Geneva Wisconsin knows that there is an plentifulness of things to do for fun. There is astounding shopping, all from fast food galore to the finest dining, superior nightlife, great fishing spots, water parks, boating, skiing, and top notch golf. I know, it sounds like the perfect place. That is why so many make Lake Geneva Wisconsin their estimate one vacation destination every year, and the estimate is growing.

There are resorts like Grand Geneva, and the Abbey that offer perfect accommodations. Grand Geneva has a huge indoor water par, which makes it especially kid friendly, along with two Pga Championship caliber courses, the Brute, and the Highlands. The Abbey does no have an indoor water par, but has perfect accommodations as well. And they are affiliate with Abbey Springs, one of the oldest, and most gorgeous courses Wisconsin has to offer.

Downton Abbey

Then there is the restaurants. Lg has all from cheap to high class, and all in between. If you are just seeing for something quick or something for the kids give Claws a try. They have a menu that is full of tasty treats for adults and kids alike. If you enjoy fine dining, my beloved place on the Lake is Cafe Calamari, by far. They have a astounding fillet, a great option of wine, awesome service, and an espresso martini that is to die for. If they are booked up, give Kirsch's a call, as they have perfect food as well.

If shopping is what you like, then just take a gallivant straight through the gorgeous downtown area of Lg and you will find that there is No shortage of shopping. Be sure to stop by Kilwin's Chocolate and Ice Cream Shop if you find yourself there.

Lg is also turning into a top golf destination in the Midwest. The reason for this is because the area boasts numerous high capability courses, numerous mid level courses, and a few lower level courses for the more laid back players. Along with all of the other things in the area and it is no wonder why people are flocking to the area every summer. The elite courses in the area are:

-Geneva National
-Grand Geneva
-Abbey Springs

These 3 establishments have the golf thing nailed down. Each offers it's own brand of difficulties and uniqueness. It would be hard to pick the best one of the bunch. You cannot go wrong if you make your way on to any of these courses. They do carry a bit higher greens fees than the other area courses, but do deliver on the quality.

Other courses to check out:

-Hawks View
-Lake Geneva Country Club
-Evergreen
-Alpine Valley Resort

If you cannot or do not want to play one of the elite courses, I propose checking out one of these. They are great courses for the money, and are a little more laid back as far as dress code as well.
